Openness

There's a beauty divine,

in the openness of nature's design,

when we lay, be it floor or mattress,

watching the glittering starry skies,

on the roofs, or empty fields.

Yet, we have been limited,

in resources of the spaces,

locking ourselves in the constraints,

within the four walls that rise,

for the fear, that creeped inside.

In the windows, we would watch,

let light filter, from the curtains,

gentle breeze, facing the hindrance,

of the screens, or locked panes,

keeping us away, from its caress.

And I remember, the simple days,

the excitements, of youthful years,

visiting the ordinary life of village,

feeling the magic, of the ambience,

just experiencing the openness.

Openness...

We might be losing the presence,

as we commercialize its values,

being confined, we miss the chance,

to witness the wonders, that unfolds,

outside the limits, of our attentions.
