Changing opinions

Disgusting, our heart feels,

to the words, uttered by idols,

who were respected & valued,

yet, felt betrayed, of our trust.

We are aware, of the truth,

they were mortals, of this world,

having qualities in spectrums,

vices lies, in shadows of virtues.

Still, we believed, blindly followed,

appreciate wisdom, in their discourse,

as the words, influenced choices,

giving directions, to our decisions.

It's indeed a difficult path,

to stand above the masses,

gaining scrutiny along with praises,

surrendering privacy for popularity.

Disgust, our thoughts swings,

doubting sincerity of their voices,

opening our eyes to new reality,

of looking at evils lurking inside.

And we realize, as opinions changed,

by momentary slip of judgments,

destroys years of the hard work,

when we fall victim to impulses...

Without deliberating, the consequences.
