Colors

We do love colors,

without it, life gets duller,

bringing joy and happiness,

stirring emotions, ease loneliness, 

for, in every spectrum lies...

Something new, to be discovered. 

Our retina carrying photo receptors, 

gathering lights through the cones,

containing pigments that absorb,

wavelengths, large, medium & small,

sending information, to our brain,

to paint world, in colorful image. 

We do love colors,

displaying grandeur on the rainbows, 

scattered sun ray from raindrops,

as they dispersed through refraction, 

into shorter blues to longer reds,

depending on angles, that is reflected. 

Getting enchanted by the vision,

we would wonder, of the reasons,

some reflecting selective spectrum,

while others, absorb wavelengths,

and together, they create the stage,

of spreading hues, through combinations. 

We do love colors,

yet, mystery still remains, 

of the diversities available, 

and how this concept begins,

leaving behind strong impact,

in the evolution, of the species!
