The natural world,
built over millenniums,
brought the diversities,
we see everywhere...
It's fascinating, even magical,
to be fortunate enough to witness,
explore them, to the very depth,
without the fear of retaliation.
For centuries, civilization evolved,
shifting from hunters, into agriculture,
creating settlements and advance structures,
using other species, under our controls.
Yet, our hunger, was never satisfied,
the power bestowed, made us blind,
exploring resources, without giving time,
for them to recover and replenished.
It's a tragedy, that manifested,
when genocide were perpetrated,
when our intelligence were abused,
for bringing despair, to surroundings.
Extinct...
It's the sin, that we bear,
more wise, when we become,
lamenting actions of forefathers,
even feeling the existential angst,
over the blatant indifference.
