We don't realize, roles they played

We don't realize, roles they played,

as we grew older, under their shade,

honing our skills, sharpening the blade,

advance in life, building our place.

So I reflect, on my formative years,

innocent times, yet having the fears,

of stepping out, explore the world

stretching hands, reach my dreams.

There's support, with encouragement,

still eyes searched, for the instructions,

for undertaking the uncharted lanes,

without assistance, or supervision.

And then, I could see the marks,

each time, I had taken the chance,

shaping views, clearing the path,

there are always, his invisible hands.

From the day, I could ever remember,

I was being inspired, following footsteps,

in every setback, or obstacles faced,

I would return, seeking his guidance.

I do appreciate, the things learned,

value his presence, in my world,

still, we take things for granted,

and not honoring, with special actions.

For, father are irreplaceable parts,

influencing mind, occupied our hearts,

but were blended, interwoven in fabrics,

like a map, giving directions throughout life...

Happy Father's Day!
