last minute efforts, ditch the signs,

of worn out spaces, effect of times,

and replacing them, with new styles.

It's indeed a curious situation,

cleaning surroundings, to create impressions, 

enhancing the appeal, with visual expressions, 

through paintings, or artistic installations. 

Repairing dilapidated roads & buildings,

adding newer facilities & infrastructures,

decongesting paths, through demolition,

while increasing policing, with discretion. 

As paints shine, on walls and trees, 

authorities ensures, areas be litter free,

as they plant flowers, to display greeneries, 

providing pleasant feeling, to the invitees. 

Beautification drive... 

Should we celebrate or sigh,

welcoming positive changes,

or find the faults to criticize, 

as we bear the expenditures...
