In deserted streets, I stand alone,
illuminate surroundings, in twilight zone,
yellow fluorescence, shining the glow,
showing path, to ones who's astray...
For, fear creeps, in the darkness,
being uncertain, some were mislaid,
yet, I become savior, with my light,
like beacon of hope, in the nights.
And I witness, the time passage,
with birth of life, to their death,
of the strays, loitering around,
living on trash and leftovers.
In the days, I would rest,
opening eyes, in some moments,
watching the rush, of the lives,
as vehicles kept zooming away.
With arrival of dusk, things slows,
as people return, to their homes,
only few visitors, escape the crowd,
spending moments, in laments or reflections.
And here, I see stories unfold,
in tears & smiles, emotions exposed,
their hardships, conflicts within,
or the dreams, they nurtured silently.
In deserted streets, I stand alone,
yet, here's a companion, I become,
listening to tales, in the silence,
till their heart, lightened...
