Tremors

It's not just ground that shakes,

but deep wounds left in the psyche,

of the people and resident species,

who bears the brunt of damages. 

Natural calamities are devastating, 

yet, life finds ways of rebounding, 

little by little, creating the space,

for them to survive & flourish. 

But human actions are catastrophic,

disregard conditions & capacities, 

for absorbing such misadventures, 

without leaving behind lasting effects. 

Weapons were updated every year,

increasing levels of inbuilt powers,

refined with tests, and exercises,

in lands, seas, skies and mountains. 

Acquiring materials, gaining expertise, 

waiting for the day, unleashing strikes,

watch with pleasure, effect of violence,

while sending message of their might. 

Tremors... 

These ripples of the shockwaves,

shatter hearts, spreading far and wide,

while affected, will suffer silently,

as quakes, rise in frequencies & intensity.
