My thoughts were filled with you

My thoughts were filled with you,

dreaming of living them through,

waiting for the day we meet,

being together, we would sing... 

Yet, you chose, to hide from me,

momentary glimpses, were deceiving,

breaking my hopes and wishes,

vanishing from the existence. 

Slowly, steadily, staring to learn,

I was chasing mirage, an illusion, 

never to reach, never to hold,

like sand slipping, from my palm. 

Where were you gone,

what have you done,

leaving behind this hole,

in my heart and soul. 

My thoughts were filled with you,

now left abandoned, in the blue,

no longer lingers, feelings denied,

there's no space, in this emptiness.
