Growing up, you have ambitions,
reaching the summit, top positions,
become president, or board chairman,
manage the company, as an owner.
You see the dazzle, of their lives,
living in mansions, broad & wide,
the shining car, which they drive,
all glamor & luxuries, that you strive.
Yet, you ignored, the dark side,
which burdens heart and mind,
of the years spent, in the toils,
part & parcel, of their choice.
For every title, grand & bold,
lies a story, that's left untold,
of sacrifices made, dreams lost,
in their quest, of climbing to top.
Missing moments, with loved ones,
simple joys were hard to come,
hours spent on meetings & greetings,
pressure mounts, with every dealing.
So, ask yourself, before you try,
are you willing, to surrender time,
of your promises, passion or interests,
would the status, fill up the space?
