Those were the days

Those were the days,

being carefree, of world's ways,

every moment between breath, 

where delightful, bringing joy,

in the hearts, it let us stay...

True to ourselves! 

In the grounds, playing catch,

running around, hiding inside, 

holding stick, using it as sword,

searching for places, for treasures,

climbing trees, stealing fruits,

doing mistakes, without regrets! 

In mischiefs, there was innocence,

with curious mind, sweet presence,

being welcomed, given some snacks,

small inquiries, and a lot of rewards,

smiling, giggling, laughing it out,

planning events, parties with friends! 

Our emotions were raw, 

tear never shied to flow,

dreams fresh, aspirations new,

our needs met, desires were low,

yet, every day was fulfilling,

our life, so much appealing. 

Those were the days,

so, when did it change...

Was it facing the realities,

or expanding our range,

for freedom, duties, & wants,

we forgot, true to be ourselves!
