I wished to give you a home

I wished to give you a home,

with a garden and a roof,

where we bask in sunshine,

while savoring the perfumes,

permeating in the surroundings. 

And we could spend days,

in the comfort, of our space,

indulging in various interests, 

while stealing occasional gazes

exploring the journey together. 

I wished to give you a home,

with a peaceful neighborhood, 

where markets are nearby,

for small walks, if we tried,

bringing joy in our hearts. 

And outings were leisurely, 

with spices of some luxuries,

yet, we valued those moments,

when we created loving memories,

in the company, of each other. 

I wished to give you a home,

but the realities were unforgiving, 

we have to make compromises,

which you just couldn’t accept,

leading to failures, we disconnect. 

And I lament....

If only, we had an understanding!
