A story spun, over millions,
hiding beneath the dominions,
quietly harnessing the strength,
to survive the difficult phase,
till their time comes.
Opportunists, taking advantages,
of every chance that arrives,
while wary of danger lines,
finding ways to attain needs,
in challenging neighborhoods.
They would learn, enhancing functions,
share horizontally or vertical transmissions,
taking generations of refinement,
to evolve into better conditions,
more prepared for future complications.
For, they had gained unique traits,
and allowed fortune, favor the best,
when unexpected turns of events,
became catastrophic for the rests,
providing rare openings, for protagonist.
And that's how, evolution happened,
in the billion years of earth's history,
as we delve deeper into our progress,
from weak mammals to prominence,
as human species, of present world.
