Was envy or contempt,
questioning inherent advantages,
when we encounter obstacles,
while others were less affected.
For, they had been fortunate,
having support of social structures,
from connections, to the finances,
and assistance, of better circumstances.
And we, facing the hardships,
each step, being difficult climb,
with setbacks and failures,
acting as frequent hindrance.
Still, we gather courage to fight,
reach positions, with patient sight,
only to be demanded heavy price,
losing our peace, as a sacrifice.
And we witness, one in heights,
flying freely, indifferent to our plights,
not understanding our conditions,
while promoting their biases.
So, it becomes an endless quest,
chasing the shadows, of their lives,
to be treated as one of their equals,
while building resentments in hearts.
