Gobar, these cow dungs

Walking on footpaths,

something soft squeezed apart,

an unpleasant smell made me alert,

looking down on what I stepped,

there lies heap of gobar.

Gobar, these cow dungs,

have not been dried for long,

waiting for us hapless victim,

preoccupied in our world,

to be taught a lesson.

Since ancient times,

been considered as fortunate,

walking on the pavements,

coated with cow dung,

believed to clean the environment.

But here, on the streets,

it's neither the farmlands,

requiring natural rich fertilizer,

nor some biogas plants,

keeping materials for clean energy.

Gobar, these cow dungs,

as much as considered sacred,

and been part of rural households,

but here, I am standing exasperated,

cursing the municipalities for shoddy work!
