We can see the warning signs,
by measuring these indicators find,
our consumption of fresh water,
throughout entire supply chain.
Straight from the sources,
groundwater, lakes & rivers,
how we are going to extract,
and utilize, by various clients.
For, we can only see outcomes,
with dried wells, lakes, channels,
facing droughts and also floods,
onslaught of erratic climates.
But we never identify the problems,
or willingly try, to turn a blind eye,
for, it would force us to confront,
and take, some difficult decisions.
Only few are used in households,
even industries, take some toll,
but majority were being exploited,
for the needs of agribusinesses.
Farming water intensive crops,
From human needs to animal feeds,
everything will end up in the plates,
satiating the appetite, of us consumers.
Water footprints...
No matter the planted trees,
water harvesting in the cities,
could reverse the damages done,
in the grounds or skies above.
UNLESS WE CHANGE OUR FOOD HABITS.
