Let me drown

Let me drown,

in my emotions,

neath the moonlit sky.

Looking at drifting clouds,

like the doubts, that shroud,

clarity of my thinking....

For, I need these moments

to reflect, express or lament,

opening up the feelings hidden.

And the winds too howl,

as if, it's crying foul,

of my present situation.

The distant stars twinkle little,

even hope is fragile and brittle,

for the wishes, remaining unfulfilled.

And the breeze, is so soothing,

its temperature, provide the cooling,

to these bitter sensations...

Still, I need this space,

to confront, with grace,

or I will fail, to understand.

So, let me drown,

lying on the ground,

imbibing the atmosphere.
