An evening walk, takes curious turn,
changing directions, to uncharted roads,
beyond the walls, overgrown vegetations,
I accidentally reached a place unknown.
Being lost, I tried to turn back,
then, lights flashes, lightening struck,
while air vibrates, a continuing hum,
I was surrounded, by cloudy mist.
Yet, it vanishes before I even blink,
sceneries changed, realization sinks,
cacophony replaced quiet surroundings,
as I was standing, in a market square.
But, faces were hazy, silhouettes moves,
like playing records, of memories before,
from the times, when streets were alive,
being busy, bustling, centers of towns.
Their voices heard, loud & clear,
pushing the goods, to their customers,
of its beauty, values, places of origin,
stories of lives, connected with it.
And I witnessed, as silent observer,
while reminiscing, my younger years,
of the freedom, joy, and amazement,
when every outing, was an adventure.
A sense of calm, washes over me,
nostalgic emotions, started flowing,
as the noises, permeating in bazaars,
transported me to treasured times.
And I relive, closing my eyes,
until the sounds, slowly dissipate,
worries replaced by renewed vigor,
for, I could see, desired future...
That were abandoned for long.
