you were the embodiment,

from once mighty river,

to goddess divine...

Since ancient ages,

you have inspired sages,

bestowing blessings of knowledge, 

upon us devoted souls. 

You flow as enlightened thoughts,

manifesting in art, music & words,

personification of our inner light,

destroying falsehoods and illusions.

Maa Saraswati...

I bow upon your feet,

seeking guidance for achieving dreams,

of attaining wisdoms of this world,

rising above fears and pride.

In your arms, I find directions, 

training mind, intellect, & consciousness, 

let your Veena bring peace & harmony,

and rosaries, show path of meditation.
