So, what makes the crimes stay,

invade our mind, in perverse way,

rising with intensity, in recent years,

affecting all ages, class and genders... 

Is it a sign of social fragmentation,

leading to incompetency or corruptions,

affecting adversely, our mental faculties, 

inciting violence, promoting enmity. 

Or impact of mental conditioning, 

having errors, in ways of learnings,

adding fault lines, within upbringings, 

causing damages, on values or morality. 

We were not strangers to crime,

evil does lurk, hidden in shadows,

being spontaneous, disease of mind,

or used by state, as institutional policies. 

Still, we have seen examples set

under various style of governments,

some were strict, being authoritative,

while others, liberal and supportive. 

So, what makes the crime stay,

free from fears, of consequences, 

or instilled values, of mutual respect,

without directions, the chaos descends...
