Being subtle, in the signals,

or requiring direct approvals, 

we were swayed, with their words,

as they persuade, unsuspecting hearts... 

Power of suggestions... 

Been used since ancient times,

to attain positions, dominate minds,

implanting ideas, forcing opinions,

when presented, with convictions...

Building narratives around it. 

Influencing naive or motivated hearts,

with personal beliefs, deeply impacts,

making followers out of the masses,

using charisma, for distorting patches...

Of intelligence, dealing with reasoning. 

And they work, on subconscious level,

changing our thoughts and perceptions, 

influencing choices, making decisions,

shaping our behaviors and character...

Into someone else's vision. 

Power of suggestions... 

We gravitate towards social constructs, 

childhood upbringings, to peer pressures,

but now, with advent of social media,

could we truly be free from implications...

And have our uniqueness preserved?
