Happy Navratri

The auspicious month begins, 

as we invoke grace of divinity,

in worships and celebrations,

dancing in joy, bowing with devotion,

to mother goddess Durga,

an embodiment of feminine power,

omnipresent in our existence. 

The victory of good over evil,

had always been the central theme,

as glory of Mahisasurmardini,

infuses, strength and wisdom,

in the path of righteousness, 

finding blessings & protection, 

of our divine mother.

These nine days, we welcome,

Devi arrives in different forms,

with symbolism, in representation, 

of her journey, towards realization, 

sharing knowledge, through manifestations,

as we inculcate virtues with devotion,

performing rituals, chanting for invocation.

May this festival dedicated to goddess Durga,

fill our lives with joy, wisdom and happiness, 

when we purify our mind and body,

while following our traditions & duties, 

dancing & singing, Garba or Dandiya Raas,

having gatherings and visiting pandals,

and worship in homes, with feasts or fasting!
