Come tomorrow

The table laden with files,

while chair empty on the sides,

and people wait in the lines,

getting impatient, standing outside.

A common view,

that we would rue,

facing Govt. offices,

for getting our due...

Come tomorrow...

No matter the wait,

there's always a new date,

till we find connections,

warming hands, under the surface.

It was a tale of those times,

before advent of internet sites,

when paperworks precedes,

affecting our working speed.

Come tomorrow...

Someday were holidays,

others leave or vacations,

sometimes it was tea break,

or an important call to attend.

Powerless, feeling frustrations,

yet, there's lack of options,

learning the art of patience,

masking smile, on angry face.

Come tomorrow...

There might be reasons,

and employees, overburdened,

yet, with glaring inefficiencies,

that were inciting our reactions.

And we would seek accountability,

streamline processes & proficiency,

giving respect to effort and time,

without making excuses.

P.S :

Just remembering the hassles for having things done in Govt. offices. Thankfully things are changing now as most are online.
