Boredom

We love to be independent,

have freedom of choices,

not to be interfered by others,

living for ourselves, & have fun... 

Yet, sooner we learn the risks,

missing the connections, we freak,

try to find it online, or in gatherings,

that were casual, but fleeting... 

And thus arrives, the condition,

ailing our hearts, without realization, 

forcing us into different distractions,

for, we have been afflicted, by boredom... 

Boredom... 

It's a deadly disease,

seeking affinity, kindred spirits,

some find it in newer interests,

others, in their devotion,

towards work, or their faith. 

Yet, a lot many failed,

to reclaim their own stage,

going through many phases,

from addictions, to loneliness. 

Society too, is to be blamed,

setting up unrealistic standards,

with population putting pressures,

forcing them into competitions. 

And we break away from roots,

that would have nurtured our soul,

providing ways, to invest the mind,

while developing society, as a whole. 

For, it has worked, since ancient times!
