We face, one of the biggest problem,
a failure of subsequent governments,
that were complacent, in addressing,
the perils, of expanding population...
Us, humans, are a resource driven society,
so, unplanned growth promotes inequalities,
while becoming apathetic, ignore the cause,
of our surroundings, which faces the brunt.
For, an urban dwelling,
are akin to a living organism,
that can manage, without nourishment,
yet, it's life-threatening, without excretion.
And our ancestors had known,
observed in Saraswati Sindhu Civilizations,
for, they understood the value of sanitation,
and created sophisticated drainage systems.
But, as time passed, we lost this art,
may be, foreign rules, played its part,
yet, modernity, have brought it back,
newer infrastructures, for managing wastes.
Still, we are slowly losing the plot,
greed & corruption, leading from front,
ignoring the necessities, of our dwellings,
having broken or damaged sewer systems.
Population too, had put the pressure,
unplanned developments, made it unsustainable,
without central control, over the localities,
we face the challenges, harsh realities.
From overflowing drains, to polluted water,
it becomes a routine, for general population,
lacking the resources, better the situation,
creating a dangerous trend....for future generations.
