Growing up, in our upbringings,
there are conditions, shaping personality,
which were above education and peers,
something mundane, but essential,
steering us to certain directions.
Unmet needs...
Not in extremes, but in fractions,
little by little, heap up in layers,
imprinted in subconscious mind,
changing behaviors with time,
getting anchored, as fundamentals.
Somewhere aspirations were suppressed,
others don't receive affections of parents,
being ignored, criticized or abused,
forming unconventional view of world,
affecting opinions and relationships.
Not many have the patience or zeal,
able to identify, understand and feel,
when they show signs, certain traits,
which were different, from natural state,
indicating some deeper conditioning.
Unmet needs...
They are adaptations, for their survival,
against unfair treatment, or environmental,
wounds that were neglected for long,
when properly addressed, with guidance,
they learn healthier ways...
Beyond coping mechanisms!
