The one I knew

The one I knew,

for long who grew,

into something important,

creating a space,

a tender embrace,

deep within my heart.

The one I knew,

was like sunshine,

illuminating my life,

flowing like fresh breeze,

blossomed into springs,

unfurling positivity.

The one I knew,

nurtured feelings new,

into beautiful dream,

giving encouragement,

allow vulnerable moments,

redefining my desires.

The one I knew,

whom I valued,

changed with time,

that gentle demeanor,

got obscured in haze,

of prior engagements.

The one I knew,

was never true,

only glimpses of fragments,

and I wondered,

was it just pretend,

waiting to be replaced, forever...
