Raksha Bandhan

From it's ancient roots,

to the present day festival,

this had always been the occasion,

that celebrated the sibling bonds. 

It's not mere a colorful thread,

or an ornament to be adorned,

but a symbol of love, a vow,

to protect, and cherish the connection. 

As we take blessings from God,

follow the rakhi tying tradition, 

praying for their well being,

wishes for their success and happiness. 

Within those smile and laughters,

in those sweets and gift tributes,

lies the unspoken emotions,

that were understood without saying. 

Even if separated by distance,

these thoughts would always remain,

special days might evoke memories,

but the connection remains for a lifetime...

In sister's faith and brother's promises.

Let us learn

With a curve of lips,

we can spread an infectious smile,

and furrowing of our brows,

bring worries or displeasure.

Be it our home or workplace,

we can spread joy or sadness,

through our daily interactions,

or from the stress that emaniates. 

We are a social being,

can take cues from surroundings,

in daily greetings and conversations, 

even the quarrels or argument of others.

It affects our productivity,

might create some disharmony, 

letting the fear and anxiety,

creeping through our every senses.

But not all become the sheep,

some choose a happy life,

keeping external influences to minimum,

seeking peace in their environment. 

Its they, who break the chain,

encourage and alleviate the low mood,

while being adapted to changes,

that could be happening around us.

So, let us learn their ways,

become the one that dissipates,

the negative aura that permeates,

from various stresses we experience. 

While be welcoming and spread,

all the goodness of trust and faith,

in the inherent positivity of people,

within their kind and caring nature.

Some say,

Don't change ever,

be what you are,

live as you please,

and people will love you,

who genuinely care.

Some say,

You know nothing,

follow them for learning,

mimic their every nuances,

to achieve the success, 

and make place for yourself.

Some say,

we change as we grow,

as we follow our aspirations, 

face problems in different situations, 

so, don't fear what you become,

at the end of your living conditions. 

And we listen to everyone,

while choosing our directions,

for, neither we change our nature,

nor could remain same forever,

only striving to be better...than our past self.

Crazy night

Would you like to be crazy,

for this night of dreams,

getting closer than ever,

breaking restrictions and limits. 

Let us lose the niceness for today,

become the bad bad guys,

diving in the flame of passion,

dancing in rhythm of blue lights.

Your sweet and gentle voice,

replace it with some moans,

biting your bright red lips,

fill it with seductive screams.

The curve of body arches,

pulling the hold bit tighter,

merging ourselves more and more,

from body to the soul.

Let us immerse in ecstasy,

without any concerns or worries,

everything vanishes in this room,

only the pleasure remains.

Call my name, whisper in ear,

as we speed up our gear,

to and fro, the world sways,

become my sensual savior. 

Show me the marvel of your body,

as I crave it with my instinct,

exploring every surface and corners,

experiencing it with all of senses.

So, let's have a crazy night,

burning desires of our flesh,

our glistening skin drenched in sweats,

and room overflowing with aroma of lust.   

I don't cry anymore

So, do you cry?

She asked nonchalantly, 

like a random question,

throwing me out of the flow...

of our conversation. 

Is it a playful gesture?

or a genuine enquiry,

how do I construct my answer,

keep wondering in my mind.

From my younger years,

I remembered to have cried,

like a spontaneous outburst,

displayed the inner feelings. 

In the moments of my fears,

at the time of my sadness,

on the days of my angers,

my eyes were wet with tears.

So, when did I last cry,

I don't remember much,

may be some drops have fallen,

watching some emotional shows.

But these secretions of the glands,

have dried in real life events,

not even wetness surrounds the eyes,

in my heartache and disappointments. 

Is it a sign of maturity?

or a defense mechanism,

being indifferent to the surrounding,

slowly losing my sensitivity. 

Never pondered the issue,

concerned with meeting expectations, 

accepting the pain, understanding the struggles,

feelings got overtaken by reason.

So, I paused for a moment, 

letting out a small smile,

finally responded with a gentle voice...

I don't cry anymore.

Reason

 " Thoughts without contents are empty,

Intuition without concept are blind"

" There is nothing higher than reason"

Words of wisdom from German philosopher Immanuel Kant, let us throw light on human ability to reason or have critical thinking and thus letting us explore the depth through our reasoning.

What is reason?

Is it the projection of our thoughts,

determined by the knowledge learned,

with influences of regional traditions,

bringing little changes and additions.

As we have different experiences,

from upbringing to new exposures,

affecting the processing of ideas,

identifying it as our position.

But truth varies from person to person,

while others are seen with suspicions, 

how can our perception of reality,

be based on logic under opposition?

Human mind works in mysterious way,

for our needs should have similar traits,

yet there are opinions and differences,

in living life with our preferences. 

Let us be the rational being,

even if it's in conflict with certain beliefs,

for, there has to be universal codes,

that's written in moral and ethical notes.

A faith in the authority of higher power,

shouldn't robe us from questioning orders,

a curious mind, debating intellect,

help us evolve as a consciousness. 

So, what is reason?

if not for the integrity,

an adherence to natural laws,

created out of common sense.

A clarity of vision,

consistency in the regulations,

with coherent answers and explanations,

for every concerns and confusions.

A brave girl

From a small town,

with limited resources,

having dreams in her heart,

and fire in the belly...

A desire to learn things,

advance in knowledge and skills,

travelling cities after cities, 

in her quest of better opportunities. 

A struggle to adjust,

of climates, food and water,

suffering from occasional illness, 

no one to take care in those days.

There were also work pressure,

some disappointments and frustrations, 

missing the comfort of the home,

those bonds of friends and families.

Bigger ambitions demanded sacrifices,

doing overtime or having sleepless nights,

the painful heartbreak and rejections,

no one to rely for emotional support.

But hard work is rewarded,

bigger positions were granted,

moment of rejoice and celebrations, 

joining with excitements and expectations. 

Things went well in early phases,

stepping on the ladder of success 

but there are dangers lurking somewhere, 

many egos affected from her orders.

In a male dominated workplace,

her superiority was being challenged,

some humiliations in comments,

hurting her dignity in symbolic gestures.

But she is epitome of courage,

faced many hurdles with inner strength,

she won the heart of all colleagues, 

through her dedications and work ethic.

Having a vision, a goal to achieve,

with no time to rest or sleep,

she will keep walking regardless of obstacles,

for, she is a brave girl. 

Oh sky

Oh sky,

the canvas for infinite dreams,

from falling raindrops or spreading sunbeams,

moving clouds or blowing strong winds,

of inspiring thoughts and our feelings.

Opening up the imaginations,

letting me explore through my creations,

of limitless possibilities and aspirations, 

drawing gazes by catching our fascination.

A vast and endless expanse, 

changing colors in different seasons,

with shades of blue, orange, red

blessed upon us from sunrise to sunsets.

Accompanied by the brilliance of sunlight,

caressing our heart in the still moonlight,

bestowing us with best show of the night,

galaxies of stars sparkling in dark night.

A refuge to flying beings,

even the inanimates receive their wings,

exploring every corner of our earth,

without any obstacles or stoppages. 

Oh sky,

arouse, excite and inspire,

the ideas, thoughts and imaginations,

as I look towards you and beyond,

for the mysteries hidden in the universe. 

Managing differences

To manage differences,

there are many ways,

either take it to our ego,

or show some compassion. 

Confrontation, 

a path taken by many,

out of pure rage or anger,

without any justifications or needs.

It slowly becomes a toxic trait,

as it poisons the mind,

making us blind to surroundings, 

in our quest for scoring points. 

Empathy,

it's difficult to cultivate,

most are influenced by upbringing, 

few gain it through experiences.

To see from a neutral perspective, 

takes more than their intellectuality, 

with desire for peace and harmony,

paving a path of resolution. 

So, be more sensible in approach,

every problem has a solution,

let's hope that people would communicate,

using conversations for solving differences.

Sleepy in a rainy day

The rain is falling, soft and slow,

the sky is dark, cloudy show,

I lie in bed, under the blanket,

watching the windows, cold and wet.

I am sleepy, eyes are heavy,

feeling the warmth and so cozy,

don't really want to wake up yet,

inside the covers, I am content.

The rain is falling drop by drop,

like a lullaby, on the rooftop,

so peaceful is it's melody,

the gentle sounds feel so heavenly. 

The birds are taking the shelter,

frogs croaking in drizzly weather,

rustling leaves in blowing winds,

some surprise with occasional thunders.

Let me savor the moments little more,

I will get ready for work a bit later,

when the clouds gets clear, sunrays appears,

leaving behind few droplets as souvenirs. 

Change

We fear, we aspire,

get nervous when it gets near,

bringing tears or some cheers,

after accepting it as our peer.

In our comfort world,

everything is in harmony,

but time is not constant,

situations never remains the same.

We get scared, cautious at heart,

protecting ourselves from getting hurt, 

clinging to old routines as much we can,

only to let go when no options available. 

It needs courage, or just assurance,

for future is never known to anyone,

only our actions dictate the course,

of choosing success in newer endeavors. 

It could be painful to watch,

as the connections are getting lost,

sometimes there's no other way,

but to concede without resistance. 

So, let's embrace the change,

let's not count the dates,

whatever the life throws at us,

receive with open arms and positive mindset.

You have a choice

 If life gives you struggle,

show it your strength,

If life gives you trouble,

show it your intelligence, 

If life gives you pain,

show it your tolerance.

If there's disappointments, 

show them your patience,

If the wait gets longer,

show them your preserverance, 

If shadows of despair appears, 

show them your optimism.

You always have a choice,

decide how you want life to be,

there's no point in regretting the past,

you have to live in the present.

When worries, distrust surrounds,

how could happiness prevail?

be mindful of every thoughts,

for, the way we visualize ourselves...

influences the world around us.

Boredom

A lot is being decided,

to avoid the boredom,

will it become a bane or boon?

for us, in the long term...

Life is short, time is limited,

there's a big unknown world,

without a path or direction,

we might get it wasted.

So, we rush to earn,

be it wealth or stardom,

to achieve, to be known,

and not be seen as boring.

But we might miss finer things,

one that inspires an open mind,

with nothing to do, being bored,

seeking newer things or complete old ones.

Beyond the race of aspirations,

there's beauty in moment of pause,

to be more observant and receptive,

find happiness in simpler things.

It's the fear that pushes us,

to climb the ladder of success,

or find things to keep us occupied,

be it games, informations or entertainment. 

But its also a joyful ride,

appreciating sunrises or starry sky,

to start a hobby or passion,

or just spend it in leisure. 

Boredom, something to be avoided,

or to be welcomed with open arms,

it's only to be decided by us,

through our perception of reality.

Loneliness

Loneliness...

an empty feel...

kept hidden or concealed...

from eyes of the society.

Searching for a place to belong,

with an image of being forlorn,

there's personal struggles, pain,

been stranded, feeling alone.

Living a life of suffocation, 

as if trapped in a dark room,

slowly gnawing through your dreams...

no one there to hear your scream.

We all are affected by its shadow,

irrespective of the age or gender,

but whenever it is manifested,

would leave us feeling isolated.

Circumstances that are unavoidable, 

relationships that are undesirable, 

searching for meanings in connection,

only to be faced with disappointments. 

Even if we are in denial,

it's prevalent everywhere,

be it the poor with life struggles,

working class without work life balance,

in the failures in love, or jobs,

in the disenchantment from lifestyles,

there's always a missing piece...

pushing the perception of its presence. 

So, let's acknowledge this emotion,

find ways to understand its notions, 

reach out to friends or families,

search for professionals in extremes..

Be there for people in need,

it takes time for them to heal,

we are not alone in this feeling,

there's others too who are experiencing. 

It's also dangerous to our health,

so don't ignore or shy away from help,

For, even if we prefer solitary living,

We are still part of a larger community.

have a great journey, 

let the stay be comfortable,

without any setbacks or hurdles.

It's a long distance,

multiple stoppages on the path,

hope you find it excitable,

with new meetings and adventures.

we would miss you,

with sadness and small smile,

we would wish you...

To achieve the success, 

and reach your goals,

for the realization of those dreams...

you had left the home.
