Subh Deepavali

 In the auspiciousness, of the night,

families gather, with joy & delight,

placing diyas, as their offerings,

with prayers, for the prosperity,

Of loved ones.

Deepa-Awali...

These rows of lights,

decorated in our homes,

dispel negativity, in our life,

when our hearts unite.

And we join, to celebrate, 

triumph of good over evil forces,

we sing, dance, worship & play,

honoring traditions, in our way.

So we celebrate with fervor,

be it child, adult or elders,

making rangoli, hanging LEDs,

or play sparkles or fountains.

And we share, sweets & delicacy, 

a time together, strengthens bonding, 

with friends, relatives and community,

in these moments, of our gatherings.

May this auspicious day,

brings blessings, into our lives,

when we meet, share greetings,

while connecting, with the divinity...

That permeates, in our surroundings!
