It was forbidden for long,

came flooding with liberation, 

in euphoria, we got stung,

with the poison of expectations... 

Once duty, kept us occupied,

while desires, were minimized, 

for the fears, of getting astray, 

from the path, towards realization. 

With the advent of modernization, 

we had exposures, cause comparisons, 

our values changed, over the times,

from basic instincts, higher social standings. 

For, with no support of communities,

we have to rely on, on individual identities, 

built with hard work, or inheritance,

for the position, and conveniences. 

So begun, age of competitions, 

to have control, over experiences, 

while insecurities, masked as confidence,

fuels our delusions, towards life's situations. 

It was forbidden for long,

there might be some reasons,

but now, we have to acknowledge, 

there are issues, we need to address... 

Before it's too late.
