Every rock glitters

Don't chase shiny things,

breaking stones into pieces,

for the minerals underneath,

to be cut and polished,

into gems furnished.

For, every rock glitters,

have their own presence,

building the foundations,

for most lifeforms existing,

on surface, or burrowed deep.

Yet, we mine their elements,

for precious ores embedded,

digging, excavating, days & nights,

blasting lands with dynamite,

just to exploit resources.

Roads opened, houses added,

building tunnels and subways,

each process adds to destructions,

making ecosystems empty & hollow,

for artificial developments.

Every rock glitters,

nothing is wasted in nature,

if only we could appreciate,

let them gleam in obscurity,

without human interventions...
