Food adulteration

We are living in a time,

where people have corrupted mind,

of mixing, polluting, and lying, 

giving us contaminated diet,

for profit maximization. 


Not persons, but institutional decay,

systematically broken into pieces,

from manufacturing to consumers,

they are all being involved, 

into creating this sorry state. 


The policymakers are indifferent,

implementation in the hands of incompetents,

rules and regulations were inconsistent,

leading to significant compromises, 

in safety, qualities, and nutritional value. 


While common people bear the brunt,

children, adults, young and old,

facing acute health illnesses, 

which later causes chronic diseases,

sometimes fatal, due to prolonged exposures. 


No wonder, there are increasing incidences, 

of diabetes, cancer, hormone imbalance,

while many faces nutritional deficiencies,

even after following healthier lifestyles,

when food are substandard or adulterated. 


Food adulteration... 


We need to find inherent reasons,

that had influenced wrong practices, 

finding alternatives, enforcing compliances,

and creating better environments,

supporting honest businesses.
