In the heat of the moment

In the heat of the moment,

we have committed many blunders,

being too invested in the front,

that we forget to pay attention,

into details of the matter. 

Emotions, they do run high,

in our fear, anger or excitement, 

demanding action, as stakes rise,

activating response, fight or flight,

without giving time to rationalize. 

In the heat of the moments,

we miss the chance to rectify,

losing opportunities in our lives,

of finding success, from endeavors, 

without stumbling, in unexpected sides. 

There are times, we are unfortunate,

when we encounter unforeseen events,

but, most decisions, can be planned,

prepare for situations in advance,

before facing, real world problems. 

In the heat of the moments,

we become slave to our impulses,

so wise one advice cautions, 

taking pauses, deliberate options,

before committing the actions.
