Heed the warning

Ever wondered?

Our path of civilization, 

might not be a one way street,

of growth and continuity, 

from the days of being primitive, 

to the advancements we achieved. 

What if ?

The world had seen destruction,

not the action packed human warfare,

but more of an apocalyptic event, 

through something more destructive,

than human could ever conceive. 

Is it a conspiracy theory?

That a comet would strike,

to oceans or ground alike,

creating shockwave and debris,

engulfing towns and cities,

annihilating everything in its cataclysm. 

Where is the evidence?

In ancient prophecies and messages,

through the burial and rock paintings,

even scientific research and studies,

indicating meteor impact and flooding, 

atmospheric changes leading to extinction. 

Should we worry?

We might be intrigued, 

scared of future being grim,

but the scale is too big,

there are organization in place,

and we could only live in present. 

So, let's make these scenarios,

in our movies and some novels,

while the archaeology proceeds,

to have the puzzle complete,

for making humanity aware...
