A sleek design, of latest trends,
that appealed, my youthful heart,
and style, suiting my aesthetics,
I purchased, without batting my eyes.
And I wore, in every outing,
on smooth floors, & rough patches,
in the party, became status symbol,
while in hikes, a faithful companion.
A leather shoes, with rustic view,
worn out, showing wear and tears,
facing ravages, of passing times,
it still managed, remain by my sides.
It's charm, lies in the durability,
resisting deterioration of weather,
getting abrasions, from the soil,
avoiding cracks, soaked in water.
For decades, it supported me,
yet, changes gradually took over,
newer lifestyle, demanding replacements,
it was left behind, being forsaken.
Too old, to the newer generations,
withered, displaying damaged conditions,
loose heel, and worn out soles,
only retaining shape and form.
So now, it rests in the shoe stand,
as a reminder, of the bygone era,
holding pieces, the treasured memory,
of our exploits and the adventures!
