Inspired by fairy tale,
of Goldilocks and three bears,
scientists termed goldilocks zone,
to define habitable area around stars.
For, here, conditions are right,
where liquid water could exist,
being not too hot, not too cold,
temperature were manageable.
Yet, it goes beyond temperature,
requiring balance of many factors,
like gravity, mass, nuclear forces,
without which life's not possible.
When researched, experts could find,
million of places, were ready to thrive,
be in present, or billions of years past,
life might have prospered and died.
And here, comes an important question,
were we actually alone, like Fermi paradox,
or are the seeds, of previous organisms,
that's explained, through functional genome.
For, there were many such times,
when goldilocks universe survived,
in planets, moons, comets & meteors,
as they endured, till reaching new sites.
