I have always wondered,
what makes fictional characters,
so alluring for us viewers...
From childhood admiration for superheroes,
using magical powers in their adventures,
action packed sequences fighting villains,
being special from the start of the story,
or level up with struggles and friendships,
filling our heart with awe & excitements.
When we grow, we become matured,
being graduated from juvenile narratives,
involving ourselves in appropriate conduct,
meeting expectations of self and societies,
a blanket ban, making conscious efforts,
to repress our cravings for magical times.
Yet, there are many adults who hold,
diving deeper into the fantasy world,
after performing given duties.
It's their way of embracing inner child,
or understanding true value of myths,
helping them navigate hard realities.
For, it not only an escape,
but a way of getting refreshed,
honoring lessons, inherent messages...
Deeply embedded in these stories!
