A society needs to function

 A society needs to function,

working in various conditions, 

giving efforts and commitments,

while growing through the positions. 

And they would form connections, 

gaining influences, rise in prominence, 

creating a niche, for their services,

while promoting certain vocations. 

With uniformity, stability of life,

people follow rules, as they strive,

being dedicated, provide their time,

fulfilling purpose, once it's defined. 

Once flexible, systems hardlines, 

as fortune & power, streamlined,

there were exceptions, few protested,

most adhere, when interests aligned. 

Time changed, rules were exchanged,

shifting dynamics, creating the waves,

getting opportunities, globalization days,

creating newer centers, of power games.

Consolidation happened, sooner or later,

building divides, being part of our nature,

only this time, it's more visual & vocal,

brewing discontent, on a larger scale. 

A society needs to function, 

but cracks gradually formed,

when work becomes a burden,

and expectations overflowed.

For, there's an unequal divide,

hard work ignored, encouraging freebies,

lacking necessities, pleasures highlights, 

before long, everything dried... 

Nothing is sustainable, with disorderly rise!
