Lets build a pond

Digging on a barren land,

with soft base and surface grass,

adding few sheets of underlayment,

to put over as a pond liner. 

Not too big, or too small,

just enough to retain water,

with raised edges on the sides,

to save it from dirt slides. 

The opposite corners can be flattened,

for any life to access the low ends,

with clean liquid for their drinking,

and muddy floor for wet showers. 

Having it cleaned periodically, 

from any algae or vegetation inside,

so that it is well maintained, 

for the needs of future visitors. 

Then we will be rewarded, 

by the display of nature's wonders,

as it will awake the magical flow,

of the hidden world of wildlife.

From wild plants to larger bushes, 

filled with vertebrates and invertebrates,

an ecosystem that would be created,

in form of birds, mammals and insects. 

So, let's build a pond,

we would be doing God's work,

being able to generate positive influence,

for the future of this planet.
