We are conditioned to see,

Realities through our lens,

Neutrality becomes a facade,

That we tried to play,

Because looking within,

Can be demoralizing, 

For, accepting our flaws,

Puts a dent on mental image,

And, it can act as a blow,

To aspired perfections,

So we fuel our expectations, 

Without making commitments, 

And it showed, in our choices, 

Of the lies ever spoken,

Of the excuses made,

we built scenarios, 

To push the blame,

While promoting ourselves, 

To gain some validations, 

Then acting as a victim,

For perceived sacrifices,

When in reality,

Not a step was taken,

Just living a life,

Where interests are served,

And that's what defines us,

Even if are avert the gaze.
