A wonderful stay

It's holiday time...

We have our leaves,

needed to be applied,

for a change of pace.

And we plan, for an outing,

to experience things new,

that brings the freshness,

from our usual routine. 

As a people of plain,

feeling the summer waves,

needing respite from the heat,

choosing a mountain retreat.

The plans & travel took the toll,

yet, the location, had its worth,

pristine beauty for sightseeing, 

accompanied by various activities. 

Everything has its pro and cons,

as we face, the twist and turns,

all the sharp bends and curves, 

the roads giving us some vertigo.

Still, we prevailed, over the urge,

in our excitement, to roam & explore,

getting the most, out of the trip,

gathering enough of the memories...

Tired, exhausted, we finally returned, 

lying on the bed, of our accommodation, 

munching on the snacks or beverages,

or just browsing through our exploits.

And so, we come out of the rooms,

sit in the balcony or common room, 

watching from the windows or terrace,

garden, trees, lakes and the mountains. 

As the cool breeze brushes our skin,

we appreciate, the pleasant weather,

even seeking warmth, of bonfires, 

to avoid the chills, in the evening.

Be it the spread, of morning breakfast,

enjoying the refreshments, in between,

everything brought us joy and happiness,

making us forget, all our worries... 

It was a wonderful stay indeed.
